Capital Christmas Tree

Utah State Capitol, 350 N

Check out our states capital building to see it's tree all decked out to represent our Beehive state! The blue and gold is sure to wow you! I mean it stands 26 FEET TALL! 

Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Gateway Mall Lights

18 N Rio Grande St, Salt Lake City, UT

Gateway is always a fun place to shop! You can shop outside, enjoy the fountains, and get some fresh air. During the holidays the mall displays a 62 foot tree full completely wrapped in lights and pure Christmas magic. Go see for yourself! 

The Gateway is open everyday 10am to 9pm.

Temple Square Lights

50 North Temple, Salt Lake City, UT

As soon as it gets dark, temple square lights up. Almost every inch of their grounds are covered in intricate light displays and decorations. It’s a classic Christmas tradition that all Utahans enjoy. Enjoy a nativity scene and stunning views.

The lights turn on at 5:30pm and shut off at 10:30pm every night until January 3rd. 

Macy's Window Display in City Creek

21 S Main Street, Salt Lake City, UT

While you’re enjoying Christmas time in downtown Salt Lake City, check out the candy window display at Macy's! Artists decorate huge ornaments with 5,500 square inches of surface area to work with. It’s a tradition that traces back to the 1970’s. Each June Macy’s calls for entries, and chooses 6 artists to feature. This year 24 entered! The team at City Creek Macys consults with partner in New York to configure the best layout ever! The balls are usually 100-150 pounds after completion. You definitely want to see how they turn out!

Frosty’s Winter Wonderland

805 E. 18th Avenue, Salt Lake City, UT

This a house who knows how to decorate for the holidays. Grab some hot chocolate from your favorite coffee shop and turn on your favorite music as you take it all in. If you want to brave the cold we highly recommend getting out and taking a look at every part of the display. There are so many wonderful details!

Enjoy every night 6-11 pm until Christmas.

Zoo Lights

The whole zoo is filled with intricate lights deigns that amazes everyone who enters. You can even purchase special 3D glasses that make the lights really come to life. Hot chocolate and yummy treats are available for enjoyment as well. The star of the show is the 135 foot tunnel that's completely strung with lights, light show included. 

Zoo Lights will be shining until December 31, starting at 5:30 in the evening. Buy tickets here!

The Tree of Life

Draper City Park located at 12500 South 1300 East

Grab some hot coco and set out to see this gorgeous tree! A willow tree coated in lights has never looked so beautiful!

Draper City Park is open until 10pm
