The east bench of Salt Lake City is absolutely beautiful, a beautiful neighborhood called Yalecrest. All of the streets within 10 blocks or so are named after Ivy League Schools or US Universities. The majority of the homes were built before 1940, and have a tudor or cottage style appearance. They are absolutely charming, and despite the uniform style of the homes, they are all unique in their own way. That makes this neighborhood perfect for exploring. Whether you’re going for a walk, or taking a drive you’re sure to be in awe as you admire the homes! I’m sure your dog would love to take a stroll down Yale, promise he won’t need a 4.0 to get in….
One of our favorite breakfast joints in Salt Lake City is located over here too! Eggs in the city is the best place to literally get eggs... in the city! Located at 1675 and 1300 South, this joint is equally as charming. It used to be a gas station, but you’d never know. The only remaining reminder of this is the garage door that opens to an outdoor patio. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast! Or brunch. Or yes, even lunch! No matter the meal, make sure it includes their potatoes, the best breakfast style potatoes around! The seasoning is magic. If you're in a sweet mood try their cinnamon roll pancakes! (Yes, you read that correctly) They’re open everyday 7am-2pm.
There might be a wait at Eggs in the City, so why take a walk around Yalecrest while waiting? Or better yet, walk off your giant breakfast while walking up and down the streets. No matter what order you enjoy these things, we promise you'll enjoy the Yalecrest neighborhood. Check it out!
